Thomas Lifson - Maybe the Democrats should start highlighting the risks of identity fraud in the unprotected Obamacare websites where security was an afterthought. For those thrill-seekers out there, the suspense of waiting for the Russian mob to empty their bank accounts might provide a bit of adrenalin rush.
Of course, the problem with this approach is that with Obamacare there is no upside.

Obama brings out comedy even in dour Russians like Vladimir Putin, who supposedly said that “Negotiating with Obama is like playing chess with a pigeon. The pigeon knocks over all the pieces, shits on the board and then struts around like it won the game.”
American Thinker has today http://www.americanthinker.com/2013/12/new_study_from_china_helps_to_prove_the_abortion-breast_cancer_link.html a piece describing studies linking abortion and breast cancer, in some instances a 70% increased risk. A must read. Yet, a very uncomfortable article to digest, both rough subjects but something women intending on abortion should consider.
I mentioned it before but in a recent American Thinker piece about Democrats and Obamacare Jeffery T. Brown summed it all up for me when he wrote “They did this to the United States of America and they did it on purpose.”
A very simple sentence which with great clarity and purpose tells us everything we need to know about Liberals and their willingness to commit crimes of enduring wickedness against our nation.
Yeah – Valley Forge and Lexington and Concord, the Erie Canal and the Overland Trail, Normandy and the Moon landing, “52 40 or fight” the Alamo, The Mississippi, the Coonskin Cap, Chisholm Trail and The Pursuit Of Happiness, “he that doeth not work neither shall he eat”, the nation of rails, of cars, Rock n’ Roll and baseball, the NFL, NASCAR, Rodeos and drive-n restaurants. “Four score and seven years ago.”
And now that I’ve ruminated a while over Brown’s words I’m angry. Not angry with the Democrats and Obama like I was before – punching holes in walls and throwing rocks at the crows on the front lawn angry, but up on my hind legs bleeding out of my ears angry.
But then I flopped back down exhausted, sixty odd years vanishes in an instant and there was my Grandmother putting a spoon up to my lips. I could smell the sickening stench of it. Grandma’s sure-all cure-all for any sort of upset – Cod Liver Oil. And I knew what she was telling me was right. You gotta take your medicine. Not me individually but we as a country had voted for these ethically challenged half-wits and now we had to lump it.
Well, maybe for now.
In a piece I’m putting together for AT my opening sentence is
In a recent American Thinker piece about Democrats and Obamacare Jeffery T. Brown penned …
And I don’t like it – especially the word penned. I don’t wanted to use “wrote” so I wonder can I conflate opin and peened into openned but that is too close to opened. How about op-eded – no that’s stupid, How about O-Inked but that spells oincked. Then I remember how ST Columba (Collum Cille?) described a writer’s task:
“To spill upon the page, a drink of green skinned Holly*.”
*In the 7th Century they made ink from Holly
And in looking at that I feel like a Kindergartener just starting to learn his alphabet, how can I write anything I want people to read when 13 centuries before somebody wrote like that? Then I think darkly – why not steal his line? And so:
Writing in a recent American Thinker piece about Democrats and Obamacare Jeffery T. Brown spilled upon the page a drink of red, white and blue - A rivulet of fire - call to action – drink of fire –drink of gunsmoke and fire,,,/–
Writing in a recent American Thinker piece about Democrats and Obamacare Jeffery T. Brown lay upon the page a challenge of heart when he wrote…
Writing in a recent American Thinker piece about Democrats and Obamacare Jeffery T. Brown lay upon the page and upon us a challenge when he wrote…
A picture of a mountain Lion recently shot by Owen Arthurs of New Mexico. Owen was taught to hunt by his Mom. Look at those paws! Good shot Owen, America is proud of you. And of your Mom for raising you right.
If you recall recent history there were two types of Jews in Europe in 1939. The “These days will pass. We’ve borne other repressions – we can bear this” Jews and the Badass Jews who tried to warn the others and when that failed, fought against the fate being prepared for them at every opportunity. And it is worthwhile remembering that it was only the ethic of Badass Jew which survived the horror of the Holocaust in order to help infuse Israel with a spirit which has defeated all comers these past sixty years and more.
There’s also we might recall the Badass American patriot. Men and women who saw where their relationship with Britain was going, told Parliament to stop, it didn’t stop, they summoned up what they could of an army, mounted up and fought the British face-to-face, mano-a-mano, for eight years up and down this continent and it’s often forgotten at sea along the British trade routes, until the Brits finally realized that they weren’t ever going to give up stop because yes – our founding fathers were Badasses.
Conservatives seem resigned to the strategy of watching Obamacare lurch from disaster to disaster while firing lawsuits at whatever Constitutional cracks emerge. The idea being to keep it wounded and limping until a future Republican majority in both houses coupled with a Republican President will finally allow everybody to stand up, grab a leg, and heave this alligator out of the boat.
But will those stars will ever align? It’s questionable because despite its travails it looks like Obamacare is doing exactly what it’s intended to do, that is herd more and more peoples into Medicaid’s substandard care where it is assumed, they will become Democrat voters. Then there’s the fact that Obama isn’t running again and we’re not going to be able to hang the Obamacare disaster on Hillary Clinton. She bailed before the roof fell in and Bill Clinton is in his “more in sadness than anger” mode lately is quite firmly and quite successfully distancing Hillary from the implementation fiasco.
Besides Hillary’s a white who will carry the black vote, a woman who will carry a lot of independent women, will have lost thirty pounds and fresh faced and energetic look like a new broom. Maybe much more so than her Republican opponent. And what will the nation want at the end of Obama’s term? Yes, a new broom. Can’t be done? Horse-droppings. Remember James Michael Curley? Remember Robert Wagner, he was mayor of New York for one or two terms, I forget how many, and when the Carmine Desapio Tammany Hall corruption scandal broke implicating him, he ran as the reform candidate. So if Hillary runs, she’ll probably win. Especially since a lot of people now look back on the Clinton years with fondness.
The good news is that with a Republican Congress a much less ideological Hillary can be prevailed upon to shrink the size of Government because at two thirds the size, there’s still plenty to steal.
Quote of the Day from Jeffrey T. Brown in American Thinker today:
Addressing the Democrat about Obamacare -
“…you did this to the United States Of America and you did it on purpose…”
This was the month of stand-up guys in Washington. Boehner and company caved in to Obama’s bluff about defaulting on the debt. Mitch McConnell sold his soul for a two billion dollar sweetener. Any number of senators who knew better studied their fingernails while Ted Cruz manned up for America. Not one senior official resigned when ordered to barricade the World War II memorial against the veterans in wheelchairs, even braver men removed handles from water fountains so that children couldn’t get a drink . Then the icing on the cake or as we used to say in the Marine Corps – the shit sandwich; four star generals and admirals enjoying lunch in Chuck Kogel’s executive dining room while little girls cried because Mommy was crying because Daddy was killed in Afghanistan and after the Defense Department told them to come to D.C. they were stuck in a motel room they had no way to pay for and maybe not any money to go out and eat.
And when the spokesman for the spokesman of the Secretary of Defense was asked about the families of the slain embarrassed in this fashion he blew it off with the hackneyed “talk to my lawyer” talk. So much money pouring into so small an area benefiting so small a ruling class for so long a period of time it’s produced a disconnect so profound the two ends aren’t in the same earth orbit any longer.
